According to reports, on Sunday, Quincy Brown honored his late mother, Kim Porter, by sharing a video of himself opening a personal message from her.
In a video shared to TikTok, he said, “It is December 15th and I wanna wish my mother a happy, heavenly birthday.” “I wanna share a story today that just happened. … I’ve been going back to Columbus lately and making sure the house down there is loved on. We’re in L.A., far away from Columbus, Georgia. I’ve been visiting a lot, everytime I go back I always find something. … On the latest episode of Quincy’s findings, through the history of my amazing life, I came across an envelope.”
Brown claimed to find the sealed letter in an unlabeled box, quickly determining it as his mother’s. He stated, “I opened it, and I was blown away.” “It was my birthday, apparently, so on my Mom’s birthday I want to share this with y’all.” Quincy noticed on the back of the card, which had the Cookie Monster on it, that it was dated 1994.”
He continued, “My Mom gave me my first ever dollar bill.” “The classic $10 bill. I haven’t seen one of these in ten years, but to see this from her saying, ‘I love you, Mommy.’ … I was three years old, I was looking for the toys! You better off putting this in a toy. But I think it was meant for me to see this 30 years later… I don’t know, it’s crazy to me. Happy birthday Mom, love you.”
Kim Porter’s Legacy: A Call for Answers as Her 54th Birthday Passes
Sunday marked what would have been Kim Porter’s 54th birthday. She tragically passed away at 47 in November 2018 due to lobar pneumonia. Earlier this year, Quincy’s biological father, Al. B Sure, publicly demanded a new investigation into her death. A brief, 58-page book that purported to be her memoir was released, but both Diddy’s children and Quincy Brown quickly dismissed its authenticity.
