The story of R. Kelly and his alleged victims is going back on the small screen.
Lifetime is going to air a followup special to Surviving R. Kelly which will look back at the effect the docu-series has made following its airing earlier this year.
Soledad O’ Brien will host the special named Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact which will include unaired footage from the docuseries, interviews with different journalists, and psychologists, and an in-depth look into his interview with Gayle King.
The release of the docu-series has resulted in the arrest of R. Kelly with 10 counts of aggravated sexual assault, an eye opening interview with Gayle King, the r&b singer being released from his record label, cancellations of show and a #MuteRKelly movement on social media.
Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact will air Saturday, May 4 at 10 p.m. EST.
