Lil Wayne’s “Welcome To Tha Carter Tour” Kicks Off In April

Five-time Grammy Award-winning rapper, Lil Wayne, announced on Tuesday (Jan 31) that he will be hitting the road for his “Welcome To Tha Carter Tour“, presented by Young Money, Rolling Loud, and Live Nation.

The 28-city tour kicks off on April 4th in Minneapolis making stops across the U.S and Canada.

The tour announcement comes ahead of the Recording Academy Honors Presented by the Black Music Collective event, where Lil Wayne is one of four honorees. The rap icon will be receiving the Recording Academy Global Impact Award for his personal and professional achievements in the music industry.

Recently, Lil Wayne was spotted filming a video for his forthcoming collaboration album with 2Chainz, ColleGrove 2. The album is a follow up to the original mixtape, released in 2016, whose title represent’s both rappers’ place of origin. 2 Chainz representing College Park, Georgia and Lil Wayne repping Hollygrove in New Orleans. The album is slated for an August 2023 release date.
