Prayer’s up! Basketball vet, Richard Jefferson’s father, Richard Jefferson Sr. was killed in a drive-by shooting at the age of 65 in Compton.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department told ESPN that the circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear.
Richard Jefferson Sr was reportedly in front of a liquor store, when a car drove up and someone inside the store opened fire. He was hit in the torso and rushed to the hopsital where he was pronounced dead, accoring to TMZ. He was with two other men.
Richard Jefferson has had a successful career in the NBA, winning a title with the Cavs in 2016.
