Sexyy Red has had quite a year since dropping “Pound Town” in 2023. Last month, XXL listed her as the Best New Artist Of The Year.
Her fans and fellow peers appear to be rooting for the St. Louis native, in particular, DDG. The father of one said that he feels she’s been able to ascend to higher heights than some of her contemporaries.
Sexyy Red caught wind of the tweet and responded, “Dey not gon like you fa dis one [two crying laughter emojis].” However, fans don’t agree.
“What are you smoking,” one fan commented. Another person noted that nobody takes him seriously because of opinions like these. Someone even accused the rapper’s post of being attention-seeking. “Clearly tryna go viral cuz how???” they wrote.
