DeenTheGreat was arrested on Wednesday, May 27, in Miami-Dade County on a felony attempted robbery charge stemming from an alleged altercation involving a cellphone aboard a yacht, according to jail records and police reports.
Shabazz, a social media streamer and influencer boxer, was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center during the morning hours. Authorities listed the offense as robbery by sudden snatching or attempted strongarm robbery. Court records showed bond had not yet been set as of Wednesday afternoon.
According to the police report, the investigation began after a woman identified as Destiny Aleman accused Shabazz of attempting to take her cellphone following a dispute in Miami. Aleman told officers the confrontation escalated after several men allegedly approached her despite warnings from Shabazz not to engage with them.

Investigators alleged Shabazz ordered Aleman off the yacht before grabbing her forearm and attempting to seize the device. The report stated the woman sustained a minor scratch during the encounter.
Authorities said surveillance footage later became part of the investigation. According to police, the yacht owner voluntarily provided Ring camera video connected to the incident.
Investigators claimed the footage showed Shabazz instructing another person to take the woman’s phone to prevent her from recording him. Officers further alleged the video captured physical contact between the parties while Aleman attempted to pull away and retain possession of the device.
Police also stated the footage allegedly showed Aleman falling into a defensive position on the ground before escaping the confrontation.
Shabazz gained prominence online through livestream broadcasts, influencer boxing events and viral internet disputes. Known professionally as DeenTheGreat, he built a large digital following through crossover fight promotions and creator collaborations.
Hours before his arrest, Shabazz appeared on a livestream alongside Tekashi 6ix9ine.
As of Wednesday evening, Miami-Dade authorities had not announced a court date or identified defense counsel. The case adds to a growing number of criminal matters involving high-profile internet personalities and influencer boxing figures.
