Travis McMichael has been sentenced to life in prison for the second time for a federal hate crime in the death of Ahmaud Arbery.

According to reports, McMichael was sentenced by a U.S. District Court judge, in Brunswick, Georgia. Earlier this year we reported, that he was also sentenced to life without parole in Georgia state court for Arbery’s death along with his father Greg McMichael and their neighbor William Bryan.

On February 23, 2020, the father and son duo had their guns and chased Arbery in a pickup truck. Bryan would later join in the chase in his own truck and recorded a video on his cellphone of Travis shooting Arbery with his shotgun.

During the investigation, they reported to the police that they believed that Ahmaud Arbery was a suspected burglar, however, he was unarmed and he had no criminal history.

Greg McMichael and William Bryan are set to be sentenced later on today. Stay tuned for updates as this is a developing story.
