Trinidad and Tobago’s health minister Dr. Terrence Deyalsingh wanted to clear up a few things.

Dr. Deyalsingh got word of Nicki Minaj’s story about her cousin’s experience getting the vaccine for COVID-19. Nicki Tweeted out that she’s hesitant about getting it because her male family member supposedly got swollen testicles and became impotent. Nicki said

“My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”

As reported on BBC, these aren’t known side effects. Dr. Deyalsingh did a brief today and said there hadn’t been a reported case in Trinidad as Nicki described. Take a look:

Nicki’s comment caused a Twitter storm, “Not Nicki” started trending online, and some tried to diffuse the situation.
