Tyler, The Creator is calling out a shop owner for secretly recording him and posting the footage online. While he didn’t name the store, the Chromakopia rapper blasted the move as “weird” and shared a screenshot of the clip on Instagram.
“Went to a shop with the bro and these n-ggas posted some random hidden camera footage for some weird ass reason,” Tyler wrote. Currently on tour after a series of California performances, he questioned the store’s motives, suggesting they were chasing clout. “Likes, clout, proof we were there? Idk but I do know n-ggas is weird as fuck and never got slapped before cause someone that knows bounds wouldn’t do this.”
He continued his rant, expressing frustration over the lack of respect. “N-ggas ain’t even know they were being recorded and then you upload it?” Tyler added that situations like this make him hesitant to visit certain stores. “PSA if you aren’t weird with folks and they feel comfortable they will come back.” He also called out the store owner’s lack of boundaries, questioning whether they were ever taught basic respect.
This isn’t the first time Tyler has spoken out about uncomfortable encounters. Earlier this week, he took to X to vent about people approaching him with invasive questions about his whereabouts. “When you see me don’t be asking questions like ‘whY are you here in a major city….. are you renting a house here…where you going,’” he wrote. “Like n-gga I AM NOT YOUR FRIEND, are you a cop?”
Despite these annoyances, Tyler has been celebrating A$AP Rocky’s recent acquittal. Speaking on stage, he expressed his joy, saying, “I almost passed out when they read the verdict. My brother Rocky is not guilty!”
