Just last month, it was announced that Drake had tied Lil Wayne’s record of having 132 singles hit the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist, and now he’s broken an even bigger feat.
Per Twitter account @chartdata, they calculated that Drake has been on the Billboard Hot 100 (as a solo artist and/or featured artist) for 400 CONSECUTIVE weeks. Yes, this means he has NOT left the chart at all since May of 2009, when he entered with “Best I Ever Had.” Can you believe it?!
Only three people even come close to this record, and they all happen to have some pretty close ties to Drizzy. Wayne has 326 weeks, while Rihanna is at 216 and Nicki Minaj at 207. With Drake’s More Life set to drop soon, it looks like he’ll only be keeping this streak going! (And hopefully we can get Tha Carter V soon so Wayne can give him a run for his money! Ha!)
