R. Kelly is getting ready for the fight of his life.
The singer is preparing for his trial, and while they believe they can beat the case, it looks like they want to make sure they walk away without a conviction.
According to The Blast, Kelly is looking to hire Thomas Meserau as one of his attorneys. The two reportedly discussed the possibility not long ago, and allegedy interested in joining the legal team.
Meserau is best known as (the man with the bright white hair), the lawyer who led Michael Jackson’s 2005 child molestation trial in which he was found not guilty.
Kelly has been charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse in Chicago, with other charges possibly coming as well both federally, and in other states.
The singer had previously wrote Michael Jackson’s 1996 single “You Are Not Alone,” which holds the record as the first song ever to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
