The number one genre in the world could be a driving force in this year’s midterm election! Atlanta rap artists are hsupporting Georgia Governor Candidate Stacey Abrams and their efforts could help her win the 2018 race!

If Stacey Abrams wins the upcoming midterm election, this would be a huge turning point! She would become the first black female governor in U.S. history.

Stacey Abrams has A LOT of celebrities backing her up. People like Oprah, Will Ferrell, and Kandi Burruss are a few of the stars who support her campaign. The GA Governor candidate also has trap music artists supporting her which could play a key part in her victory!

Back in 2008 when Jeezy released his third studio album, The Recession featuring the mega hit “My President is Black,” ft. Nas, it had a huge impact on the voter turn out when Barack Obama was running. This time around, although the “Trap or Die” rapper didn’t release another “political” song, he supports Stacey Abrams fully! He took to his IG to share his thoughts:

Atlanta rapper T.I has always been vocal about his political views. He’s also backing Stacey Abrams. TIP took to his IG and posted a picture with her, telling his followers that she is the most “honest, dependable, fair, and decent candidate.”
