Ladies Love Cool James aka LL Cool J busted on the scene in 1984 with his breakthrough single “I Need A Beat” which the rapper remembers hearing for the first time on the radio with DJ Red Alert.

As one of the most prominent MC’s in history and wearing the flag of Def Jam Records, the Queens native has continuously reinvented himself throughout the years to become one of the most successful rappers to date.

He has released 13 studio albums, sold over 20 million albums throughout the years, won a few battles, accepted 2 Grammy Awards, and later became one of the first hip hop artists joining the likes of Will Smith, Queen Latifah, 2Pac, Kid N Play, and more that transitioned into the world of acting where he continues to be successful today.
