2020 Tokyo Olympics Postponed Due To Coronavirus Pandemic 

COVID-19 has caused a global impact and disrupted everyday life. The majority of the world has to work from home, practice social distancing, and major events are postponed.

Activities like music festivals, Broadway shows, and now the Tokyo Olympics have been postponed. This is the most significant sporting event that has been affected by the Coronavirus. Reported on USA TodayVeteran International Olympic Committee member Dick Pound said: “the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games are going to be postponed, likely to 2021, with the details to be worked out in the next four weeks.”

Games were slated to start on July 24, but that’s not happening. This is the first time the Olympics have been suspended. During war was the only time it was canceled like the summer game in 1916 during World War I and World War II.
