Lightweight championship boxer Gervonta Davis was seen on video grabbing the mother of his child by the neck during Super Bowl weekend. The incident allegedly started over an “argument” between the two at a charity event, and you can see Davis forcefully grabbing her out of her seat.
Davis did admit via Instagram to being aggressive, but claims he would never hurt the mother of his child. He writes, “I never once hit her, yea I was aggressive and told her come on… that’s the mother of my child I would never hurt her other than that happy New Years.. January was trash.”
Well, reports claim that in an unreleased video, during the same altercation- in the backroom Davis is seen “pulling his arm back and then forward towards the victim, which is consistent with a strike to the face where the victim sustained injuries to her lip and left jaw,” according to police.
The woman allegedly cooperated with the police, and provided a written statement.
Gervonta was arrested for domestic violence.
