This Mother’s Day may be a little hard for Angela Simmons.

It will be her first holiday without having her son’s father in her life since he was tragically taken away.

Back in November, we reported that Sutton Tennyson was shot and killed at his home in Atlanta. Police believe Michael Williams is the man who is responsible for the death, and he surrenderedhimself to the police a few days after the incident. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm.

Although he was her ex-fiancé, that was still the father of her kid, and they had a history together. Regardless of their personal issues, they were still raising their son who was one at the time.

Today, on Mother’s Day, Angela is making peace with what she went through. She said that situation “changed her forever,” but she’s thankful for their beautiful blessing, Sutton Jr. In a different post, she said her son will love on through his late dad.
