Canada is about to take up North America, and possibly the entire world with their latest decision.
The country that brought us Drake is planning to announce plans to legalize marijuana by July 1, 2018 giving those looking to escape the madness of the Donald Trump administration another reason to go up north.
According to the CBC, the general idea is to have the federal government oversee the production to make sure it is “safe and secure” while Ottawa will license producers. Those who want to grow their weed will be limited to only four plants per household.
As for Canadians who want to grow their own marijuana, they will be limited to four plants per household. Even after all of these plans there have been several raids and arrests to different activists and dispensaries in recent months without any promise of a pardon as of 2016 according to Buzzfeed.
Will the United States follow up? I guess time will tell.
