It looks like Atlanta will be getting some shine during the NFL’s Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show after all!
Maroon 5 released a video yesterday (Jan. 13), in which they announced that Travi$ Scott and Big Boi will also join the band on the big stage.

Scott has been receiving backlash for his decision to perform during the big game although Colin Kaepernick has yet to be signed by a team for his decision to kneel during the nation anthem while other inferior quarterbacks were signed throughout the season.
The rapper reportedly demanded a $500,000 donation to Van Jones’ organization Dream Corps, as well as work with the NFL on other social justice initiatives before he ageed to perform. He also made a statement on his decision according to Billboard.
“I back anyone who takes a stand for what they believe in,” Scott said. “I know being an artist that it’s in my power to inspire. So before confirming the Super Bowl Halftime performance, I made sure to partner with the NFL on this important donation. I am proud to support Dream Corps and the work they do that will hopefully inspire and promote change.”
Big Boi also celebrated the announcement with a tweet of his own.
