It has finally happened!

Kanye West and EMI Publishing have settled their legal battle over West’s record deal. Back in January, West had filed a lawsuit against EMI as a way to get out of his publishing deal, in which he called unfair and illegal.

In the suit, West was seeking ownership of all of his songs made after October 2010, as well as money made by EMI over the last four years. Both parties told the court that they wanted to privately settle their issues. They were given a 60-day extension.

The agreement that was made includes the dismissal of all charges and for the case to be closed. West and EMI are both expected to draft and finalize a settlement agreement within the next three months.
