This week Cobb County Lt Abbott was exposed via dashcam footage after making racist comments!
After stopping a white woman who was afraid to put her hands down during an encounter with the police officer, LT. Abbott’s response was “Remember, we only shoot Black people.”
Despite the fact that many are trying to excuse the officers comments as “sarcasm” it has been confirmed that Abbott was terminated.
The Police Chief made a statement :
I have known Lt. (Greg) Abbott for years and perceived him as honorable, but he’s made a mistake. I don’t know what is in his heart, but I know what came out of his mouth. We recommend that he be terminated and we are moving forward on that. I wish Lt. Abbott well. But I think that was very inappropriate for any police officer to say that, but especially one of our leaders in the department.
