Tis’ the season of giving and we love to see our favorite celebrities doing their part.

Due to the pandemic, a lot of programs and givebacks were canceled but people like our very own Melissa G (aka Sassy Minglee), took matters into their own hands.

Melissa’s self-funded community organization Million Dollar Drive-By has been changing the lives of people in the Tristate and all over the world for the last five years. Minglee rounds up her celebrity friends like Desiigner, Safaree, Ron Suno, Sheff G, Ether da connect, Lil Cease, Fred the Godson (RIP), Star Brim, Jaquae, and more, and they “drive-by” different schools to surprise the kids.

This year, Sassy linked with Fivio Foregin again to make a difference (he also did the drive-by last year.) Fivio pulled up to his hometown in Brooklyn and shut down NYC’s Children Of Promise, which is an origination dedicated to providing support for children with incarcerated parents.

During the toy drive, COVID-19 practices were in place as Fivio handed out gifts to over 150 children. All of the toys were sponsored and funded by Giovannie Pierre Louis. Fivi also performed, interacted with the kids, and left them with inspirational words. He reminded the children that he comes from the same struggles and challenges they do, and if you want to make a change, you can. Take a look:

During the drive, Fivio’s mentor Bishop Lamor M. Whitehead announced he’s running for Brooklyn Borough President. This was a great moment for the youth to see, once again reminding them that they can do anything!

Fivio and his organization, Foreignside Foundation also did a toy giveback with Sassy. After Brooklyn, they stopped in Harlem. Take a look at the special moments:
