J. Cole aka the GOAT!
Seven years ago today, J. Cole’s highly anticipated debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story was released. This was big for Cole because he was the first artist signed to Roc Nation so there was a lot of pressure to do well.
It sold 25,000 copies in the first week! He gave us some hits that are still in rotation today:

Although some fans felt that his debut album sounded a little commercialized, we can definitely see the growth in his music today. Once he stopped caring about the radio hits, he focused more on the message and that’s why he’s the GOAT!
