According to several news reports, Miami rapper Trick Daddy has been arrested on a cocaine possession charge.
Miami Herald reports Miami-Dade officers were responding to a report of a driver hitting signs and running red lights around 3:20 a.m. When an officer approached the dark-colored Range Rover, the driver appeared to be sleeping behind the wheel.
Police were able to wake the driver up and identified him as Maurice Samuel Young, aka Trick Daddy.
Trick Daddy told police he was at a club earlier, had about five drinks, and was dropping someone home. The report says Trick Daddy’s speech was slurred, his eyes were bloodshot red, and he failed a sobriety test.
Trick Daddy was taken into custody and that’s when authorities found the cocaine wrapped in $1 bill. He also has a warrant for his arrest for driving under the influence.
Trick Daddy’s bond was set at $5,000 on the cocaine possession charge and $1,000 on the driving under the influence charge.
