Lil Nas X took the industry by storm with his record-breaking, top-charting, and history-making hit, “Old Town Road.”
It became the longest-running Hot 100 hit of all-time, beating Mariah Carey.
The 20-year-old Austell, GA native had another impactful moment in his career when he announced that he was gay. The news came to a surprise to some, however, some fans argue they knew already. Lil Nas X even said he thought he had given clues that he was gay in his song ”C7osure.”
During an interview with Billboard, Lil Nas X says that telling his fans wasn’t as hard as telling his father. He doesn’t think he could have told him the truth if he was still living under his roof.
“It’s something I never probably would have did if I was still living with my parents,” the 20-year-old told Billboard. “I have that independence to do it, you know?”
The rapper recently dropped his latest single “Panini,” which is a song dedicated to fans who supported him before he gained massive success and now their feelings changed.
