This doesn’t sound too good.

Although Lil Nas X’s ‘Old-Town Road’ is tied up for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, it seems like he may be in a bit of trouble. The rapper is allegedly being sued by The Music Force for “stealing” Bobby Caldwell’s 1982 song “Carry On.”

According to reports, Lil Nas posted the song on his YouTube, Spotify and Soundcloud, appropriating parts of Carry On. He posted it without permission and the song generated over 4 million views on his YouTube channel.

Music Force is alleging that the reason for the posting was, “motivated by greed and malicious intent.” The company is asking for $25 million dollars, claiming Lil Nas “destroyed the value of the song.
