Mariah Carey shut down reports that she got into an “explosive” argument with Jay-Z.
Reports claimed the two got in a heated argument, which resulted in her leaving Roc Nation. As reported on Hip Hop DX, a source claimed, Mariah wanted nothing to do with her management company or Hov and called it quits. It also said she’d formally depart in the next few weeks.
Mariah posted on Twitter and cleared a few things up. In the Tweet, she said, “The only “explosive” situation I’d ever “get into” with Hov is a creative tangent, such as our #1 song ‘Heartbreaker”!! To the people who make up these lies, I say, “Poof! —Vamoose, sonofa*****’!” Take a look:

Mariah Carey signed with Roc Nation in 2017. From her tweet, it’s not clear if she’s leaving the company or if the two just didn’t see eye to eye on something.
Jay Z and Mariah collaborated in 1999 on “Heartbreaker” and on Hov’s “Things That U Do.”
