Trouble in paradise. According to TMZ, Mariah Carey says her former assistant secretly recorded her doing “embarrassing” things and threatened to release the videos! The catch is, the former assistant is asking for $8 million in order for her to not release the videos.
Carey has filed a lawsuit against Lianna Azarian. TMZ is reporting, “Mariah hired Azarian back in March 2015 as an Executive Assistant. Mariah claims it wasn’t long before Azarian went to town with her credit card, buying personal stuff and also claiming to retailers she was buying things for Mariah, trading the singer’s goodwill to get deep discounts.”
Mariah claims the former assistant was filming “personal” and “embarrassing” things that she was doing.
Carey states she was paying Azarian as much as $327,000 a year. She allegedly fired her in November 2017, and that’s when she claims the blackmail began.
The lawsuit doesn’t state what’s on the videos, but, it does specify “intimate.”
