A huge weight has been lifted from Nelly’s shoulders!
Back in November, he was looking at a sexual abuse charge from an alleged incident that happened in the UK.
Reported on TMZ, the St. Louis rapper is “off the hook.” The accuser, known as Jane Doe, is no longer talking to Essex Police.
According to the report, police told Nelly that they weren’t actively investigating and he’s no longer facing criminal charges. However, it’s not officially closed. If new evidence surfaces, then authorities could reopen the case.
The victim’s lawyer plans on pursuing a federal lawsuit. She reportedly felt like the Essex Police didn’t take her seriously and treated her like a suspect instead of a victim.
Since the allegations came to light, Nelly has denied the accusations.
