Lil Baby is crowing himself the “Lil Wayne” of this generation.
The 26-year-old rapper made the claim on EST Gee’s “5500 Degrees,” off his latest album, Bigger Than Life or Death. On Lil Baby’s verse, he raps,
“I’m going too crazy, I’m the Wayne of this new generation,” Baby raps. “N***as fugazi, they can’t fuck with us no type of ways, these n***as too lazy/I’m cut from a different type of cloth, I don’t know who raised ’em/Every time I pop out all the women screaming, ‘Woo, Baby.’”
Social media has mixed reactions. Take a look:

Wayne is my favorite rapper and I honestly agree. Think about it. He’s the best out of the pool of the best right now and his career isn’t gonna go anywhere or fade out. He’s made several songs that we really needed when he released them. And the big one, Wayne said it himself💯

As someone who witnessed prime Lil Wayne during my late teens/early 20s…absolutely NOT!!! Wayne shifted the culture and was a top tier lyricist. Lil Baby makes good music and is good at what he does…the end.

Lil baby is struggling to sell 200k units first week, Wayne did a mill twice, took 7 year break, came back and sold 500k units first week, he's is second to Drake with most Hot100 billboard entries, Lil baby good but he ain't nowhere near wayne, not to mention classic mixtapes
