A$AP Rocky is currently being held in a Swedish Prison and could be facing up to 6 years if convicted.

A few days ago Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky was arrested in Sweden for a fight that took place between AR, his crew and two random fans. Rocky claims he was simply defending himself.  Rocky’s partner, A$AP Ferg, took to his Instagram to give fans and the rest of the world an update on Rocky. He let fans know that rocky was being held in solitary confinement with inhumane conditions. His manager also mentioned that Rocky was  in “24/7 solitary confinement, restriction of amenities for the most basic of human functions, access to palatable and life sustaining food as well as unsanitary conditions.”

Well, according to reports, the governor of the prison Frederik Wallin, shuts down these claims. Although he couldn’t speak directly to Rocky’s case, he did state the facility was recently renovated and that the prisoners receive three meals a day. “Normally, you live in a prison cell which consists of a desk, a bed with a mattress and a TV,” Wallin said. “During the last few years, we have completed a large reconstruction where all the prison cells, as well as the rest of the remand prison, have been completely renovated, which make the remand prison in good condition. I have no knowledge on any current diseases in the remand prison.”

Wallin stated that the prison staff makes sure the facilities are clean for the well being of the prisoners and the staff.

A petition was started, also the hashtag #JusticeforRocky. Many celebrities and fans alike are standing with Rocky during this time. You can sign the petition here.
