Bidi-bidi-bom-bom. The story of one of pop culture’s most iconic singers is coming to Netflix.
It has been 23 years since singer Selena Quintanilla was tragically shot and killed as her career began taking off in the United States. Now her story will be told to a brand new audience on Netflix.
According to Variety, her story will be told in a brand new series as they show the journey it took for her to reach superstardom.
“Selena will always have a lasting place in music history and we feel great responsibility to do justice to her memory,” said Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla. “With this series, viewers will finally get the full history of Selena, our family, and the impact she has had on all of our lives. We are excited to partner with Campanario and Netflix to give fans a never-before-seen glimpse at our story and highlight why Selena will remain a legend for generations to come.”
The last time we saw the singers life documented was in 1997 in a role that helped Jennifer Lopez reach a new ceiling.
There is no word on its release as of this time.
