Usher’s Music Sees Major Streaming Spike Following Super Bowl Announcement

Who else is excited to see Usher grace the Super Bowl halftime stage?

According to reports, Usher’s music catalog has seen a huge spike after he revealed he’ll be performing during the Super Bowl halftime.

Reports claim his music has spiked 16%. His newest record “Good Good” was reportedly streamed 1.1 million times between Sunday and Monday following the news. Fans have also been streaming some of his older hits including “Yeah!,”, “My Boo”, and “DJ Got Us Fallin in Love” as those songs have reportedly received 962,000, 527,000, and 525,000 streams since the announcement.

Fans got a little insight into the upcoming performance as we previously reported that the “Good Good” singer has plans to bring out the pole dancers during the show. Page Six reports, “Usher plans on having… pole dancers — dressed in a tasteful manner, of course as well as dancers on roller skates,” a source told the publication. “He is definitely keeping in mind that his younger fans will be watching.

The source continued, “[He] just wants to set himself apart and make history as one of the greatest performers to hit the world stage. Beyoncé, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Prince and Michael Jackson have all made memorable moments and now that Usher is taking the stage he wants to do something different, unforgettable and over-the-top.”
