Texas police made a bizarre discovery.
They found Delissa Navonne Crayton, 47 and her teenage daughter living with the mother’s deceased mother’s body.
Crayton’s mom, Jacqueline Louise Crayton, suffered non-threatening injuries back in 2016 from a fall, but died days later allegedly at the hands of her daughter! Yahoo reports that Delissa Crayton left her mother to die and didn’t provide “adequate medical attention.”
The article says, “according to police, Crayton and her daughter lived together in a two-bedroom home, with the elderly woman’s skeleton remaining in one of the bedrooms.”
Crayton was arrested on July 10 and was charged with injury to a child under the age of 15 through recklessly, by omission, causing to a child, serious mental deficiency, impairment or injury, which is a second-degree felony, according to the report.
Crayton is expected to receive additional charges. She’s currently being held at the Guadalupe County Jail on a $200,000 bond and faces up to 20 years in prison if found guilty.
Her daughter has been removed out of her care.
