While R. Kelly claims that people are trying to ruin his legacy, the story behind his alleged sex ring continues to grow.
Audio was released of a phone call with a 20-year-old woman who filed a lawsuit against the singer for allegedly getting her high on drugs and alcohol while also giving her an STD.
Her conversation with Kelly is interesting, as he tries to bring guilt to her for something that is not quite specified. He did not want to get specific over the telephone, and wanted to discuss things further face-to-face during a meeting in Chicago.
Days ago, Kelly said in a statement to AP that the claims were an “attempt to distort my character and to destroy my legacy that I have worked so hard to build.”
A statement he now “disavows” according to his management.
“The person who released the statement did so without authorization and without talking to the star, and she isn’t an employee of R. Kelly management. The singer and his manager had no idea of who she was. We have learned she was employed by a professional services firm, and that she has been fired for putting out the unauthorized statement.”
