2 Chainz has issued an apology following a heated debate regarding celebrity entitlement and restaurant service standards.

The controversy erupted after a tense exchange with viral food critic Keith Lee on a recent episode of Kirk Franklin’s “Den of Kings” podcast. During the broadcast, 2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, confronted Lee about a negative review of his business, Esco Restaurant and Tapas.

However, the exchange quickly became awkward when it was revealed that Lee had never actually posted a review of the establishment. The rapper appeared to have mistaken Lee for another food content creator, Mr. ChimeTime, who had previously criticized the venue.

The conversation shifted into a broader philosophical clash over how public establishments should treat high-profile guests. 2 Chainz argued that his status as an entertainer should grant him special perks, such as bypassing lines or receiving priority service. He told Lee that he worked hard for such treatment and believed it was a justified reward for his success in the music industry.

2 Chainz Apologizes to Keith Lee:

The food critic explained his practice of sending family members into restaurants ahead of him to ensure he isn’t receiving preferential treatment that the average customer would not experience.

Lee emphasized that a restaurant’s quality should be consistent for everyone, regardless of their social standing. Public reaction to the episode was swift, with many social media users criticizing 2 Chainz for what they perceived as an out-of-touch elitist attitude.

Following the backlash, the “It’s a Vibe” rapper took to social media on Tuesday to clarify his stance and express regret for his delivery. “I got a chance to speak to Keith after the podcast and it was all love,” 2 Chainz said in a statement.

“I know my words offended some people and I apologize for that. What I said and what I meant were two different things. I could’ve done a better job getting my point across.” The apology comes at a time when restaurant culture and the influence of social media reviewers are under intense scrutiny.

While the rapper initially questioned if Lee’s background as a professional MMA fighter qualified him to judge gourmet food, his recent comments suggest a desire to move past the friction and focus on his business ventures.
