50 Cent briefly set aside his trademark barbs to offer pointed — and unsolicited — advice to Finesse2Tymes amid the Memphis rapper’s increasingly public rift with his mother.
On May 14, the G-Unit founder posted a video of Pluria Alexander, Finesse’s mother, accusing her son of ignoring calls, halting financial support, and leaving her facing eviction. In the clip, Alexander described herself as homeless and without assistance.
“Hey Finesse, you look just like your momma, man. Just call her,” 50 wrote in the caption. “What do you do when that happens? Nothing. Look at her and say you want some of this money or not. Stay off the phone, Ma. Who showed you how to make a video anyway? @1finesse2tymes please don’t say nothing crazy.”
Finesse2Tymes avoided a direct response. Hours later, he posted a cryptic Instagram Story reading, “Keep ya eyes open and ya mouth shut,” alongside a self-portrait.
The dust-up came days after Finesse released a freestyle comparing himself to Eminem and hinting at fractured family ties. That drop closely followed Alexander’s launch of a $6,000 GoFundMe for moving expenses, claiming it marked the third time her son had left her homeless. She also said the estrangement has fueled her anxiety and depression, which she attributes to “narcissistic abuse.”
Social media reaction split down the middle — some urged reconciliation, while others questioned airing grievances online.
For 50 Cent, whose legacy is built on feuds and unfiltered commentary, the post doubled as a flash of humor and pragmatic counsel. The moment also underscored a broader theme in hip-hop: the combustible mix of family loyalty, fame, and sudden wealth.
The dispute now joins a growing list of high-profile rap family conflicts, its emotional and financial stakes ensuring it remains in the public eye.
