DThang Gz Released From Miami Jail With Ordered House Arrest & Ankle Monitor, Hearing Oct. 17

Bronx drill rapper DThang Gz, whose real name is Daniel Collins, was granted modified bail with house arrest and electronic monitoring on Friday (October 3) following a Miami court hearing before Judge Jason Bloch.

According to court filings in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, Collins’s motion for modification of bond, filed October 1, was heard on October 3 at 12:51 p.m. Judge Bloch approved the motion, ordering that Collins remain under full lockdown house arrest while wearing an electronic monitor. The decision came after Collins’s public defender argued that he was not a flight risk and had maintained consistent court appearances.

Collins, 23, is awaiting trial in two pending cases, stemming from firearm and narcotics charges. He was first arrested on June 29, 2025, for being a felon in possession of a firearm and later charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

After posting a $15,000 bond, he appeared for a July 22 court date. The prosecutors sought a continuance, moving the trial to November 13.

However, Collins’s bond was revoked after a September 28 arrest on third-degree felony counts of cocaine and cannabis possession. Though no formal charges have been filed in that case.

Prosecutors alleged controlled substances were discovered in a vehicle in which Collins was a passenger. His defense maintained that the substances were found in areas beyond his possession. The arrest involved no violence or contraband on his person.

Following the court’s ruling, Collins appeared to acknowledge the development on Instagram. In an IG story showing his new ankle monitor, he teased an upcoming Twitch livestream.

“And I’m going live on Twitch ’cause I don’t know why people make they own narratives,” he wrote.

Collins’s arraignment remains scheduled for October 17 at 9 a.m., with Judge Bloch presiding at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building in Miami.
