The story of Cyntonia Brown began to catch the public’s attention back in 2017, and many prominent figures such as Rihanna and Kim Kardashian spoke out about it.
Brown was released from prison in 2019, after serving 15 years for aggravated robbery and first-degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Johnny Allen. According to reports, the murder was the result of being in an abusive relationship with a drug dealer who, “forced her into prostitution.”
The system has failed. It’s heart breaking to see a young girl sex trafficked then when she has the courage to fight back is jailed for life! We have to do better & do what’s right. I’ve called my attorneys yesterday to see what can be done to fix this. #FreeCyntoiaBrown pic.twitter.com/73y26mLp7u
