The legend of R. Kelly’s latest trials and tribulations continue.

A few months ago, the singer sat in front of the television and began to weep as he stared in front of the camera, and mentioned how he wanted a relationship with his children.

I guess that doesn’t mean helping pay for their education either.

According to TMZ, his daughter Buku Abi aka Joann Lee was forced to drop out of college because Kelly stopped paying for her tuition.

The report claims she had tried to sign up for courses for the upcoming semester when she was rejected due to unpaid fees. TMZ reports that Kelly’s child support agreement was to pay his daughter’s tutition until she was 23-years-old.

She was attending an art college in California.

His spokesperson, Darrell Johnson denied the report, and claims that Kelly had never received bulling statements and proof of expenses as was agreed on. He claims that she chose to drop out of school, and had not received any documentation stating her denial to return.

While his daughter reportedly wants to return to school, the debate continues on whether he can actually afford to pay the school bills. Kelly still owes $20,000 of child support after just squeaking out $62,000 to avoid going to jail for not paying. He has been kicked off his label, and has had trouble booking tours and appearances since the documentary of Surviving R. Kelly was released on Lifetime. He was charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse in February in Chicago.
