On November 1st, Rotimi shared the news that he and fiancee, Vanessa Mdee, will be expanding their family.
“Baby #2!!! It’s a girl! 💖🤍💖”, he captioned while promoting his new single, “Make You Say”. The pair stood under a black umbrella that revealed pink confetti once they opened it.
The couple met at Essence festival and have been inseparable ever since. Rotimi shared with Essence, that their relationship “feels like we have an angelic type of love that can’t be explained”. In a radio interview, Vanessa said she knew two days after meeting the Power actor, that he would be her husband.
Last year, Rotimi casted Vanessa as the leading lady for his music video for “Love Somebody”. The afrobeats love song is about the simplicity of finding love and being in love with someone, a theme Vanessa and Rotimi showcase in real life. “Sometimes it’s hard to see / Just how simple it is/ Until you love somebody”, the chorus repeats.
