A woman from Connecticut, Maxine Messam, 53, passed away today (February 15), after what police believe was a botched butt-lift.
As reported on the Daily Beast, two unidentified women dropped Messam off at a Bronx hospital, Jacobi Medical Center. The report says the two women drove Messam to the hospital in her BMW. In addition, when they dropped Messam off, she was naked from the waist down. They simply walked away after dropping her off, according to DB.
Authorities are investigating the two women. According to a NYPD spokesman, they reportedly told hospital staff a “different story that had nothing to do with butt injections.” According to the News, “the women portrayed themselves as “good samaritans who happened upon Messam’ in distress at Woodlawn Cemetery and wanted to help her.”
Doctors told the outlet they found needle marks on Messam’s body and said that “a foreign substance had been injected into her buttocks.” Messam passed away shortly before 2 a.m., and the hospital called 911.
In a statement, Messam’s son didn’t know about his mother’s death and said the family is “really emotionally damaged at this point in time.”
