Ava DuVernay To Make A Six-Part Docuseries About Colin Kaepernick’s Life

Fans will finally get an inside look at the life of Colin Kaepernick. 

Earlier today, it was announced that Ava DuVernay will be directing a six-part docuseries about Kaepernick, called Colin In Black & White. According to reports, the series will focus on his life as a child, a teenager in high school, and how he became an activist. 

The limited scripted will air on Netflix and Kaepernick will appear as himself as the narrator in the series but an actor will be cast to play him. 

DuVernay made a statement about the movie, “With his act of protest, Colin Kaepernick ignited a national conversation about race and justice with far-reaching consequences for football, culture, and for him, personally,” she continued. 

“Colin’s story has much to say about identity, sports, and the enduring spirit of protest and resilience. I couldn’t be happier than to tell this story with the team at Netflix.”
