& while discussing using race as a weapon for a 911 call we were told there is "bigger fish to fry"
Then of course there's #COVID19 https://t.co/uWpRirwiH8

Joe Biden
Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden said in an interview with Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf “George Floyd’s life mattered. It mattered as much as mine”.
Jacob Frey
The Mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey continues to talk about the death of George Floyd. Besides calling for the police officer who has his knee of Floyd’s neck to be fired, Frey also stated “He’d (Floyd) would be alive today if he were white.” He continued, “I’m not a prosecutor but let me be clear, the arresting officer killed someone.”
If most people, particularly people of color, had done what a police officer did late Monday, they’d already be behind bars.
That’s why today I’m calling on Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman to charge the arresting officer in this case.

There are precedents and protocols sitting in the reserves of institutions like this one that will give you about a thousand reasons not to do something. To not speak out. To not move so quickly.

But we can’t turn a blind eye. George Floyd deserves justice. The Black community deserves justice. His friends and family deserve Justice.

Bill DeBlasio
New York’s mayor, Bill De Blasio also chimed in to give his take on the death of George Floyd. He shared how horrified he was by the video of Floyd’s death.
I’ve seen the video. I am horrified. George Floyd was murdered in broad daylight and the man who killed him was a police officer — and that officer didn't seem to care at all that he was taking a man's life.
If George was white, he would be alive right now.
