Nipsey Hussle had BIG PLANS before his life was senselessly taken.

His The Marathon Continues Brand was growing; he was fighting LA gentrification, working on a Dr. Sebi documentary, and many more. Nas recently revealed the “Hussle & Motivate” rapper was planning on doing a documentary on Nas’s classic third album, I Am.

Nas celebrated I Am turning 22 yesterday (April 6). The Illmatic rapper rejoiced with fans on Instagram, and he shared some interesting information. He said the Grammy-nominated artist approached him in 2019 to work on a documentary about the project. Nas said,

“This album started out as a double album until half of it leaked. Our brother Nipsey met with me to discuss doing a documentary on it, and I was beyond honored. Didn’t get to happen. I Am; my 3rd Lp was released April 6, 1999. Thank you all for the love.” Take a look:

“Neighborhood Nip” was gunned down on March 31, 2019. His alleged killer is Eric Holder. Prosecutors say Holder shot Hussle in the head and torso outside Nip’s Marathon Clothing store in California. A grand jury indicted Eric on May 9, 2019, on one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and assault with a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. His trial date was set for March but was pushed back due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The trial is coming up soon.

Nas won his first Grammy this year for his 2019 album King’s Disease. Do you want to see an I Am documentary? Let us know!
