Mayor Bill de Blasio made a very important announcement!

As reported in the New York Times, the mayor said he’s canceling contracts with the Trump or organization for two ice rinks, the Central Park Carousel and the Trump Golf Links in the Bronx. The Trump Organization reportedly made approximately $17 million per year from the contracts.

The article reports his name was stripped from private properties. De Blasio made this bold move after Trump incited violence at the Capitol. De Blasio said due to Trump’s actions, he will see what happens when he messes with “the people.”

The article also reports de Blasio said,

“Inciting an insurrection against the U.S. government clearly constitutes criminal activity. The City of New York will no longer have anything to do with the Trump Organization.”
