Afro B. stopped by HOT 97 this week to talk to Nessa about his hit song ‘Joanna’ and more! Afro B. was born and raised in London and started out his career as a DJ in the music scene. He created his hit ‘Joanna’ in hopes to make Afrobeats and African music become more mainstream, with the success of ‘Joanna’ and its catchy, club vibe; it began to receive more recognition especially with one person in particular: Shaquille O’Neal! Afro B. was shocked to see an Instagram DM from Shaq asking for his email to send him a remix he created of his song!
The U.K artist is well experienced and has been in the game for over 10 years. The hardest part of his career so far was transitioning from a DJ to an artist and being recognized for his own music tracks.
