Some women would die to have a large chest, some even go as far as getting plastic surgery to achieve what they deem a perfect set of girls up top. But there are some women who get them reduced, like Amber Rose.
Amber announced via social media that she was going in for breast reduction surgery back in July and went in for her procedure today.
I’m thinking about getting a breast reduction this year my boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra. I’m really scared of the lollipop scars tho…. any advice? Are there any ladies out there that are much happier even though you have breast reduction scars? And no I don’t have implants so they can’t just cut around the nipples tell me about ur experiences – muva
But, Rose’s reason for the procedure is just one of many reasons why women do it.
As I combed through the responses, I noticed a lot of comments like “WHY,” “They look great,” “Why would you do that?” (coming from men *rolls eyes*).
These comments compelled me to explain the reasons why women do decide to get their breasts reduced.
Now, this is strictly for the men because women know why some of us would do this.
Women who have larger chests suffer from a lot of back pain. The amount of weight a woman who wears a B cup vs. a DD cup is like wearing a pair of oranges on your chest vs. two bowling balls.
Yes, it’s that big of a difference! Get ready to be schooled gentlemen.
That weight which comes from added breast tissue, even with a supported bra, can take a toll on your back, your posture and cause constant neck and shoulder pains. You might notice that women with larger chests have a tendency to hunch over when they stand or walk because it’s more comfortable for them then standing upright.
Another reason women have their breasts reduced is for self-confidence.
I’ve known many women who wished for a smaller chest because they didn’t want the attention from men. It gets quite annoying when you’re having a conversation with someone, and all they can do is look down at your rack, even when you’re not showing any cleavage! Some women truly don’t want that attention on them. It makes them uncomfortable to have conversations with people or even taken seriously inside their workplace, or even in life. It can really make a women feel emotionally distressed.
Lastly, wardrobe malfunctions.
I’ve spoken to many women who’ve said they get so frustrated when it comes to shopping. A, they either can’t find any tops that fit nicely; B, the clothing they purchase causes their bras to pinch continually and sometimes cut their sides, C; there aren’t enough clothing available for a sizeable chested woman and cute ones at that.
So to the men of the world, before you pass judgment and debate over why women would do an ungodly thing like get their breasts reduced, I hope you remember this article and understand the issues women deal with on the regular.
