Could Chance the Rapper be thinking for running for office?

The Chicago rapper has been busy giving back to the city, and creating his music as well. As son of Ken Williams-Bennett, and political figure who has worked with Barack Obama and Rahm Emanuel in the past, Chance may not be able to shake his chance to make change in his hometown.

Emanuel announced that he would not be seeing reelection as the Mayor of Chicago, and now there are rumors that he might be looking to run himself, as expressed through a tweet on Monday (Oct. 15).

The tweet comes from his 2015 single “Somewhere In Paradise,” in which he speaks on possibly running for mayor one day.

It turns out, he will reportedly be endorsing Austin’s Chamber of Commerce Amara Enyia for mayor, according to ABC Chicago.
