Here’s an update on Hurricane Chris’ case.

According to reports, a Caddo Parish Grand Jury indicted the rapper, real name, Christopher Dooley, 31, on second-degree murder. The charges stem from an incident that happened in June at a Shreveport, La. gas station. A man name Danzeria Ferris Jr. was shot several times and was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

A few months ago, Hurricane Chris told authorities he acted in self-defense after the man allegedly tried to steal his car, but after authorities reviewed surveillance video, they didn’t believe that to be true.

XXL reports the police say the vehicle Chris was in, a 2016 Mercedes Benz sedan, was reported stolen from Texas. At the time of Chris’s arrest a few months back, his lawyer made a statement and said,

“The prayers of Mr. Dooley are with the family of the deceased as well as his own family at this time. He is confident that at the end of a thorough and just investigation of this incident, his name will be cleared.” At the time, Chris was released on a $500,000 bond.

The “A Bay Bay” rapper’s next court date is Jan. 5, 2021.
