Happy 25th Anniversary to Wu-Tang’s ‘Enter the Wu- Tang’ Debut Album [VIDEO]

25 years ago the Wu-Tang Clan released their debut album, Enter the Wu- Tang (36 Chambers) on November 9th, 1993.  The album, which was produced by the group’s leader- RZA will forever be remembered for the huge impact it had on Hip Hop till this day!

 

 

36 Chambers helped to create the blueprint for hardcore hip hop and reestablish New York City’s rap pride despite Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s G-Funk dominance. 

 

The entire Wu-Tang clan, which was originally made up of nine members RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God and Masta Killaequally delivered raw lyrical bars that eventually led to them being one of the most influential hip-hop groups of all-time.

 

 

Enter the Wu- Tang (36 Chambers) peaked at #41 on the US Billboard 200 chart and sold 30,000 copies in the 1st week. By 1995, it was certified Platinum and sold over 2 million copies in the United States. 

 

 

 

It’s safe to say that Enter the Wu- Tang (36 Chambers)is one of the best hip hop albums ever.
